CJ Flipping the Tie Rod & Drag Link

This isn't normally a problem when a Jeep is driven on the street or even a back woods trail. When a jeeper starts tackling more difficult trails and getting into the rocks and boulders it is quickly realized that the steering components are very exposed and vulnerable. Rock Equipment came up with a tie rod flip kit to help reduce this weakness.

The kit consists of 3 machined cones and a reamer that matches the taper of Jeep tie rod ends. The kit changes the location of the tie rod and drag link to the top side of the axle's steering knuckles giving approximately 3 inches of additional clearance. With the steering rods higher the Jeep can utilize a pitman arm with less drop allowing for less drag link angle resulting in less bump steer. Installation is not difficult and does not take much time.

Patience and care must be taken when reaming out the knuckle holes.
